Fanless Power Supply

Fanless Power Supply ranges from Tiger Power UK. The TGRF series of power supplies are convection cooled for improved reliability. Often a power supply requires an internal fan to cool components when excess heat is generated. By removing the fan the power supply runs silently.  No fan also means less components to go wrong.

The TGRF power supplies have a wide selection of other impressive features such as built in PFC. The power factor correction is used to keep the input current in phase with the voltage. The PF value is used to represent the peformance. The higher the ower factor, the better the power supply uses electricity efficiently

The TGRF series also features very wide ambient operating temperatures from – 30 degrees C to + 85 degrees C (with derating). The range can be mounted on its base or on its side, offering more choice when installing. The TGRF Fanless power supply series also features semi potted components to protect the internal parts from more harsh environments. This helps to increase reliability also, where dust and surrounding fibres may be problematic for standard power supplies

The TGRF units also offer 150% peak load for 1 second, making them suitable for inductive load applications, where a motor or relay is being powered. These inductive load applications usually require a high current on start up for a short periof of time. The TGRF series provides the current required, removing the need to choose a higher rated, more expensive power supply option.
